Truk is one of the greatest wreck diving destination in the world. Essentially the turning point of the battle for the Pacific the Japanese fleet lost over 60 ships during Operation Hailstone, it was Japans version of Pearl Harbour and led to the allied victory for the Pacific. The wrecks are extremely well preserved, covered with sea life while being the ultimate reminder of the ravages of war.
